Today we had fun building with SNAP circuits. Students built different simple circuits, working with regular light bulbs, LEDs, resistors, motors, insulators and conductors. After students built each circuit they had to explain how they worked. SNAP worksheet 2 is attached to the calendar.
Today students read a packet introducing them to basic circuits and how SNAP circuits work. Students completed a fill in the blank worksheet to go along with the packet. The worksheets are attached to the 7th grade calendar.
Students demonstrated their knowledge of the Safety Rules by taking a quiz.
Today we reviewed the general safety rules quickly in class. Remember to get the contract signed for homework and to study for the safety quiz!!!
Today we went over the daily procedure for class and completed a "puzzling activity". This activity made us realize that there are often additional problems/dilemmas hidden within the bigger problem and it our job as engineers to try to anticipate smaller problems but also adapt to these problems as we encounter them. Also the activity showed us the importance of teamwork and communication. Did this activity show or teach you anything else?
