6th Grade Technology Education
This year in Tech Ed we will be covering topics about Energy and the Environment. In class, students will create a solar powered boat, practice drawing 3 view drawings (including a 3 view of their finished solar powered boat), and if time permits investigate wind power by designing wind turbines. This year there will also be a take home project, which I often call the “Trash to Treasure project”, where a student will take something that has been thrown out, is soon to be thrown out, or is not used anymore and repurpose it into something that can continue to be used (sustainable).
