Students will review the general safety rules of the fabrication lab (workshop). Students need to get the below contract signed by a parent or guardian and return it next class. Students will have a quiz on these safety rules on September 8th / 11th. Students will work in groups to solve an engineering challenge.
Students will read the packet and fill in the blanks on worksheet 1, to gain the knowledge they need to start working with the SNAP circuit kits safely and correctly.
Take a survey to determine your "ecological footprint" by answering questions to the best of your ability in the file below. Please answer the the questions as accurately and detailed as you can. Please save the file to 365 or your student drive but before you exit out of the survey please complete this questionairre.
Please complete the measuring pre-assessment in class.
This week students were assigned a take home project about sustainability (the "trash to treasure" project). Each student should use object(s) that is/are ready to be thrown out and remake it/ up-cycle it into a new object with a new purpose. This project is due Nov 2nd or Nov 3rd (depending if your child has class with me on day A or day B). Note if your child is in tech ed class on day A period 5 this project was assigned 10/26 and will be due November 14th.. |
