For this take home project, students will pick an everyday object, measure it and then create a model of that by scaling each measurement up or down proportionally. This project is due November 11th or 14th (depending on which day you have my class). Please bring in the original object, the model you created, and the write up on or before the due date. Please refer to the document below for additional information and to see the project rubric.
Students will complete the shadow fractions lab and the scaling shapes lab to get further exposure and practice working with ratios and scales. Students scaled up or down by a given amount each dimension of a 3-D geometric object.
